The Clone Wars is that period of time between Star Wars III & IV where the Republic had an army of Clones led by the Jedi against the Droid army of the Separatists. This period was portrayed through the film 'Star Wars: Clone Wars' followed closely by a t.v. series of the same name.

In the t.v. series, you followed the many battles and challenges that confronted the Jedi and the Clones and this leads us nicely to the game which follows directly on from the end of Season 1 and will act as a link to Season 2 (coming soon on t.v.) To keep the continuality in place, the game's story has been written by the show's scriptwriters and the voices have been supplied by the same actors of the show.

I'm now going to assume you have either seen the film or the series. RH allows the gamer to fight as both Jedi Knight and clone troopers with the introduction of four new Clone soldiers – Sgt.Boomer, Private Switch, Sgt.Kano and Rookie. You're objective is the pursuit of a mysterious bounty hunter called Cad Bane and an all-new super villain – Kal Teska.

Throughout the game, the missions can vary between puzzles, fighting and the occasional hijacking or jacking of droids. In single player, you will eventually get to play as every character as well as being able to customise the characters with parts that you may have gathered during the game. There is the option to play co-op offline but Activision would not confirm or deny the possibility of playing co-op online when interviewed at Gamescon09.

Well, that's the story but how did it play? The controls are a bit like 'Robotron' (an eighties game), where one stick controls the movement whilst the other allows a 360 degree field of fire. A bit weird at first but you soon get used to it. The graphics are superb and it feels like you are watching an episode from t.v. with you controlling the outcome (of course, that's not true).

The humour of the droids is spot on, so assume you are going to hear some classic one-liners. Overall, from what I was allowed to play, it was very enjoyable but unless you are a Star Wars fan this might seem like a kids game and not one for the hardcore gamer.
