Every year EA releases another version of FIFA with the general public hoping it will be an improvement from the previous year. In most cases, the changes have been good as well as bad, so let me start by saying this year's version from what I have played is all good.

There seems to have been a major overhaul of the game, making this one of the friendliest FIFAs to play. The controls have not been changed but the response time from when you push a button to seeing the player perform that move is pretty much instantaneous. No longer will you be running full speed into the area, only to push the shoot button and watch your player take what seems forever to kick the ball but instead is taken out by the goalkeeper. With this improved response time, dribbling has become more fluid especially with the introduction of 360 degree dribbling system. This new feature allows the gamer more control and creates a more effective and accurate passing game.

One of my main problems I had with FIFA in the past was the AI. This feature has also seen vast improvements. The urgency of your teammates has improved that they will be there waiting for your cross instead of you having to hang back and hope for someone to show up, whilst the defence will cover areas that have been left open by out-of-position teammates. The goalkeeper is more aware of his surrounding area, that he will come out when needed instead of just standing on the goal line. Another new feature is the way players' battle for possession. Whilst I was playing, I saw defenders elbowing, tugging and kicking out at opposing players, just like a real game of footie.

Overall, I have to say that this is probably the best version of FIFA I have ever played and I know that I will be adding this to my collection.
