Soul Calibur IV - Namco continues the milking
Bookmark and Share

Namco really are the pimps of downloadable content because today gamers can now download some weapons sets that are easily available by playing the game normally. However, Namco want to charge the lazy or those with less time on their hands 300 points per pack. There are two packs available. When you couple all of this content with the Limited Edition extras that they are charging for, it really makes you wonder who is buying all this stuff and who is making the executive choices at Namco to fleece the fans in this manner?

Namco is not gaining much respect for this blatant charging of content that is already on the disc - with a number of gamers referring to the developer as Scamco. At least with these weapons there is a warning informing you that you can buy the weapons in game for Free. You can expect a lot more of this charged for content in the coming weeks/months, which lets face it would now probably cost more than if you had simply purchased the LE version. This is not a nice way to treat your loyal fans Namco.
