GTA IV has officially broken the 24 hour revenue records for an entertainment product according to the Guinness World Records, netting a staggering $310 million in its first day of going on sale. The previous record holder was Halo 3 which netting $170 million, although we have to remember that GTA IV is a multiformat title whereas Halo 3 is an Xbox 360 exclusive. Still, this is great news for the developers Rockstar and publishing giant Take 2.
