Microsoft is now using different and cheaper components inside the Xbox 360. This means the central and graphical processors are now manufactured in a 65 nanometer process. These revised components will hopefully resolve some reliability issues which have been troubling Xbox 360s, most notably the 'Ring of death'.
With the recent announcement of a $100 price drop on the Playstation 3, many are expecting Microsoft to follow suit; however now that Microsoft are saving money in the manufacturing process they may wait a while to drop the price of the Xbox 360. If we are to get a price drop, then it will most likely be announced in the next day or so during E3 07.
