EA Sports has announced the Stirkeforceorganisation will feature as a premier league in its upcoming MMA. The licensing includes the Strikeforcecage, ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr and the league's commentary teamof Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo.
The Strikeforce deal will also bringtwo new fighters to EA's MMA roster, Brett Rogers and Jake Shields,both of whom fight on the Strikeforce: Fedor vs Rogers card tonightin Chicago.
"We are honored that EA SPORTS hasselected STRIKEFORCE to serve as a premier league in its forthcomingMMA title,” said STRIKEFORCE President Scott Coker.
“EA SPORTS has long been recognizedby gamers as a highly innovative, ground breaking provider of sportsgaming entertainment. We are confident that EA SPORTS MMA willfunction as a great ambassador for STRIKEFORCE's fighters andeffectively promote our sport to a new audience as well as tolongtime fight fans."
EA Sports MMA is due for release on PS3and Xbox 360 in 2010.
