There's been some confusion surrounding the impending launch of the Sky Player on Xbox 360. Just how much will it cost extra, will it be free to existing Sky TV subscribers? BSkyB have recently posted some answers to these questions on their website. While it's certainly exciting to be able to watch and chat with your mates whilst watching the footy, is all the hoop jumping really worth it?

What does it mean for Sky Sports Pack customers? Sky Player on the Xbox 360 gives you another way to enjoy Sky Sports. You can access a selection of great sports highlights and if you also have Broadband Unlimited or Multiroom you can watch live Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Xtra.
Now, that does not sound too good at all. Not only are you required to be an Xbox LIVE Gold Member, an existing Sky TV customer, but to be able to access the features on your Xbox 360 you must also have Sky's Broadband package or Multiroom? It's not sounding so intriguing after all the recent buzz talk.
But, wait... confusion kicks in yet again...

How can I get it? You just need an Xbox 360 with LIVE Gold membership, a minimum 2Mb broadband connection and a Sky TV or Sky Player subscription. If you can tick these boxes then register or subscribe online now.
Hopefully things become clearer when the service appears on the Xbox 360 Dashboard, which should be some time today.
