Live 'Gold Membership prices to rise' according to analyst Michael Pachter
Bookmark and Share

The gross speculative analyst Michael Pachter is up to his old tricks again by stating that Gold Membership prices can only rise after 'hooking' the high majority of Xbox 360 owners to their online service.

According to the analyst "you really want to hook every gamer who has a 360, you want them to buy all their games on 360, play everything multiplayer, pay you $50 a year so that, in a couple years, it's $100 bucks a year [£61]. And that's going up, we all know that ... it's a profit deal.”

This comes across as rather outlandish, and seems highly unlikely due to the upcoming Natal experiment and recent release of the PS3 slim, but with the prediction being so long away, we can only wait and see.
