''Understand, Understand the Concept Of Love!''..When you hear this beaming out of your sound system apon loading JSRF you lucky XBOX gamers are in for a treat. I must confess that I was not too keen on the first outing of this game on the Dreamcast, The overhauled sequel has changed my perception of this games to a level of addiction only matched by XBOX Grade A titles such as ''Halo'' & ''PGR''!. You may find the first 1/2 hour of this game daunting as you try to find your bearings but above all ascertaining what is required to successfully enter & complete missions. By this I mean that you may enter the first area of the game and miss a vital spot you are suppose to tag with graffiti, This can leave you scouting around the circuit wondering what to do next?, Thankfully you can address this issue before long and proceed to understand the sole requirements of each mission.
GRAPHICS
This is a element of the game you will either love or laothe for the simple fact many of us like the Cell-Shaded comic appeal of this sort of game, A few gamers may think this is a 2-D game in a 3-D world lacking texture. For those of us who are not too concerned by this factor can stare in awe at the vast draw distance and level of detail and activity around the play area. There is ever such a slight amount of pop up in areas of the game you usually dont skate down much, The Shibuya Terminals outskirts have this problem if you approach it from the main area at speed. rest assured this does not spoil the game neither will it be noticed by many..Still Sega should not cut corners with this sort of power at their disposal. The whole experience spins at you with 60 frames per second and almost very little slowdown unless you approach a crowded area at full pelt powering up your boost, Again it will probably go unnoticed but still a sign of cutting corners by Sega!. The lighting Fx are great as you grind railings and so forth adding to the whole adrenaline rush!. I hope gamers are not miss perceiving the way I am describing this games graphical potential...Bottom line the graphics are the Bees Knees & then some!.
GRAPHICS-9/10
SOUND
This department of the game is as good as the graphics with some recognizable rave/dance music scores in the game. Other Sound Fx in the game are also excellent as pedestrians yell at you as you knock them down and vehicles speed on by, The Sound Channel/Synthesiser capabilities have been utilised to a good level. As you proceed in the game you seem to unlock more remixes of musical scores if not new music altogether..No two Gameplay sessions will sound the same!. The sound, Voice samples & Fx sound very familiar to the last JSR outing but just revamped remixed and damn tasty!. This game does a very good job in the sound department and this compliments the graphical look & gameplay elements very well!

GAMEPLAY
Praise the lord that Sega has done away with the ''Move your Analog Stick Around To Tag'' feature of the last game. This time round if you see a spot to tag adorned with three symbols of the rivals hovering over their graffiti, You will require at least 3 paint cans and three button pushes to tag...Dead Easy!!. The whole game engine has been tuned so it is easier to control your character and pull off grind combos and high speed thrills with ease. The Mission Objectives are also easy enough to understand as you retag the rival graffiti spots then possibly stand off against a rival to mimick their moves to gain control of them, Finally you knock down the police/swat teams and spray them in to defeat to unlock the next area....Simple and fun!!. This gameplay should appeal to all gamers wishing to try something new but be warned Minutes can turn into hours!. Finally all I can say that the gameplay is spot on and should appeal to even those who hated the original Dreamcast title with sheer passion.
Overall
Another XBOX classic enters the hall of fame to brush shoulders with the likes of ''Halo''. If this is the sort of quality XBOX is exposing us to in its early life..The future is gonna be a hell of alot better. All hail Microsoft, Above all the people who know games..''SEGA''.
