Taz Wanted Review:

Taz Wanted is the first bad game I have encountered in the Looney Tunes universe of games, and this game is beyond bad, being one of the worse games I have ever played. This game has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.

GRAPHICS:

This game is available for all systems, and looks pretty much the same on all of them. I opted for the Xbox version thinking it would have the best graphics and sound, but it does not. The graphics are like really bad first generation Playstation One.

MUSIC/SOUND:

This is by far the worse sounding game available for the Xbox. Music and sound effects are not good, and most of the time you don't even hear them. Evidently, not all Xbox games are in Dolby Digital, at least not now they aren't.

CAMERA/CONTROL:

The camera is pretty decent, but suffers from the inability to pan back or zoom in closer. The controls aren't too bad, but whenever Taz has to do some spin moving there is no control whatsoever, and he has to do a lot of it.

GAMEPLAY:

The game has roughly fifteen levels, and in at least twelve of them you are required to find the seven wanted posters and destroy them, find the golden icon, find 100 sandwiches to unlock the bonus game, and destroy 50 % of the breakable objects. The more you find ,the higher the bounty, so the more you earn, which doesn't matter anyway. Then there is the problem with the enemies trying to catch you, a big problem since the special moves you get with the special costumes, which is the only way to destroy them, almost always misses them. You are better off just eating stuff and spitting it out to stun them, but there is a problem here too, because there is nothing to indicate if you have anything in your mouth, so you may think you do when you don't, or think you don't and spit it out trying to get more. If the enemies catch you you lose $500, big deal, but are sent back to a cage somewhere else. Another problem is that you can only save by returning to the hub, on the other hand, though, you can't really die. You will constantly find yourself doing things over and over simply because of bad control or bad game design or both.

VALUE:

This can be a pretty long game if you stick with it, but most will quit after the first level. If you really don't care about eye and ear candy, like frustration and constant repetition, and don't mind bonus levels that cannot possibly be beaten by anyone, and do not mind getting a ridiculous low score, nor ever finishing the game at all, but will play it anyway just because it is the Loony Tunes world, then go for it. This miserable excuse of a game should not even be rented, but at least do that rather than buying it outright.
