Wreckless, developed by Bunkasha. Picture Midtown Madness then add a great big dollop of Driver, mix with a generous helping of Burnout and just a smidgen of GTA III. Not even close, I'm afraid. A racing game in the loosest sense of the word and set on the streets of Hong Kong, you choose between two roles: either an elite anti-yakuza squad member taking on the vicious mafia, or a secret agent trying to uncover corrupt ties between the mafia and the police. It's your decision. Promising ultra realistic and apparently completely free roaming environments, I'm getting excited already, and so are you.

There are a total of 20 missions for you to work your way through and each provide a series of tough objectives which makes 10 missions in each story depending on which you choose. The two storylines do overlap but the objectives will be different for each character. The missions look rich and varied to provide an intense and exciting experience. Some missions will find you chasing Yakuza transport cars, stopping mob cars from escaping crime scenes while others go for a more extravagant feel such as the one where you'll have to clear a hijacked bus' path through traffic so that it doesn't crash and the bomb planted inside is kept from exploding. All whilst experiencing some incredibly realist car physics as you carve your way through the traffic. Pretty much everything in the game can be smashed to pieces including the cars, which show some pretty tasty real time vehicle damage. The graphics are nothing short of superb. Every last detail is attended to whether it is your doors flying off after a nasty crash or even just the beautiful reflections of the city around you on the shiny, shiny cars. This all comes together in a package, which has got me very excited indeed.

If everything that publishers say about forthcoming games, we would never have a bad game to play but as you and I both know, previews are just that. We have to look at each game individually and a lot of the time games look and sound great but when we actually get our hands on the title something has gone drastically wrong somewhere down the line. It's my feeling that Wreckless will not fall foul of this. Believe me, this will be a must have when it comes to being released, it's just such a great idea and looks to be executed extremely well, the graphics, the story, the physics it all just looks to good to be messed up. Come on Bunkasha; don't go making me look stoopid now!
