Golf, the ultimate lazy-day game. If the weather’s nice though. Which it isn’t much in England. Well thank god for Polygon based recreations of the game you can play from the comfort of your own home, safe and sound from all the weather and exercise. Enter stage right: Outlaw Golf on the X-Box. A new vision of the game from Simon and Schuster. No more: "Oh bad luck there, my friend" when a shot goes awry, now your characters will throw tantrums and take out their anger on your caddie, leaving you feeling warm and content. Maybe someone should give this to Woosnam. Utilising a "Composer Response System" which reacts to how well or badly you are playing and alters the difficulty as it deems necessary…making it harder when playing like a leper and easier when you have the eye of the tiger. Stay calm and everything is fine, but lose your temper and the game punishes you. When the caddie has taken as much as he can stand from you, he will up and leave, making shot decisions and club selections all down to you. Featuring a cast of characters the WWF would be proud to have invented, OG places character hilarity high in their scale. From escaped mental cases to pimps with strippers, playing golf will never be the same again. Expect the courses to be just as crazy as the characters.
