Konami are keeping details very close to there chest but Game Player World have dug deep and unearthed some for you, Firstly it is still unclear if Silent Hill X will follow along the same story as the Playstation 2 version, but one thing is known that with the undeniable power of the X-Box gamers are gonna be experiencing a scarier, creepier, and generally more fill of the pants experience.

Silent Hill 2 will bring gamers back to the hopefully not so over fogged Silent Hill, this time with a new set of characters. This time players take control of James Sunderland, a young man summoned to Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his wife. The strange thing is, his wife has been dead for 3 years "Scary" (Starting to see yet?) off James goes to investigate. Once there, he meets a woman named Maria who bears a striking resemblance to his deceased wife, and so the story of Silent Hill 2 (X) begins.

This is where James trouble's begin, with Silent Hill giving life to a new selection of various creatures and zombie inhabitants. We can already say that the zombie nurses make their return. With the power of the X-Box, the evil creatures of the town will prove to look even scarier. Thrown into the mix will also be plenty of bloodstained walls and stray corpses to make your stay enjoyable and entertaining.

Add to that the many exotic if not strange creatures which seem to only be found in the Silent Hill region and your starting to get the general idea. With Konami announcing that the Silent Hill sequel will be coming to next generation consoles, namely X-Box and PlayStation 2, we should get an even more pant filling experience.

While details for the X-Box version are sketchy, Konami has revealed a few X-Box exclusive features that include even better graphics and sound and the incorporation of the system’s hard drive. How the game will utilize the hard drive is unknown at this point, but Konami is determined to make this an innovative feature.

Screen shots todate show that Konami's promise of superior gameplay and graphics certainly are not miss placed, Silent Hill 2 for PS2 is looking eerily detailed and realistic. And Konami promises that the X-Box version will look even more incredible "S**t".

From the PS2 shots, James will traverse the same foggy streets and grime-laden interiors that are the signature environment of Silent Hill. We can only now hope that with no confirmed release date, that Konami work 24/7 on delivering this master piece to the X-Box and we certainly hope for this to be added to the early launch title list !!! "Cross your Fingers Horror fans !!"
