The Italian Stallion is back for this prequel to the smash hit ‘Rocky’ game released back in October 2002. For the first time, you will be able experience your entire favourite characters from the films, starting at their humble beginnings all the way through to their professional careers.
The cast of characters include Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago with each boxer having eight authentic training games with five of them tailored to each boxer to choose from in his career mode. Most of the opponents from the first game return for this prequel along with 26 new opponents bringing the tally of fighters to over 40 with extra, hidden and unlockable characters to aim for.
What makes a good fight atmosphere are the venues, and this has been vastly expanded over the first Rocky. Twenty venues including thirteen brand-new ones featuring familiar locations from the films, such as the Philadelphia Art Museum, a Casino situated on the Las Vegas Strip, the Docks in Philly and the Russian training camp from Rocky IV.
No longer is this game just for you and a friend to punch it out in the ring, you can now pit your skills against each other in a Two-Player Training game to find out who has more strength and determination to win. If that wasn’t enough for you, there is the inclusion of Xbox Live where you can go head-to-head online and compete in player-to-player match ups and leagues.
This Rocky game with the information available sure looks like it is going to be a knockout and a true champion of fight games.
