The Crackdown demo which has been available to Xbox Live Gold members for over a week now, it has taken the record as the most downloaded demo in a 24 hour period and most downloaded in a week beating out the previous record holder Lost Planet. This looks promising for Crackdown, which is being exclusively developed on the 360 by Real Time Worlds, of which legendary games developer Dave Jones heads the team. Perhaps Mr. Jones and his team are onto a hit? So far, this contradicts some people’s thoughts flying around about how Crackdown was only being made popular due to the inclusion of a Halo 3 Beta key with every copy.
