After recieving subpoenas this week over the Hot Coffee incident where sexual scenes were kept in the game GTA: San Andreas it seems that Rockstar is to face further legal action this time from one of the cast of the 70's movie, The Warriors. Roger Hill, star ofthe cult movie is suing Rockstar and Take-Two for using his likeness in the videogame which was released on PS2 and Xbox last year.
According to Roger Hill, Take-Two approached him with a deal to use his name and voice in the game. He rejected the initial offer and did not hear anything further from the publisher. The lawsuit seeks a payment of US$250,000, plus a court order to prevent the use of Hill's likeness.
Take Two responded with this comment. "we have a valid third-party license for the rights to use Roger Hill's likeness and the character of Cyrus in The Warriors videogame and related marketing materials."
The case will no doubt continue.
