Reports in a recent press paper indecates that although not even officially even announced yet the highly-anticipated Doom 3 will bypass PS2 and head straight for the power of the Xbox.
Already confirmed for PC some time next year the CEO of id Software, John Carmick, spoke specifically on the subject of an Xbox conversion and stated the game could be ported to Xbox without any graphical changes whatsoever but sacrifices would have to be made for a PS2 version. Although a PS2 version is not completely ruled it looks grim for Sony and the PS2.
