A new Colin McRae Rally 3 movie, created especially for the London Effects & Animation Festival, is released today – a week ahead of game's launch on Friday October 25.
Created by the game's development team, the movie shows the game's gruelling rally gameplay and dynamic visuals.
It's now available online from the Downloads section of the game's web site, located at http://www.codemasters.com/colinmcrae3 (movie file titled "Colin McRae Rally 3: The Game"; filename "cmr3_game") and takes you from the game's opening scenes, through the gritty rallying action to a championship win (running approx. 2 minutes).
The movie was prepared for the London Effects & Animation Festival, part of the recent Digital Arts World exhibition. Guy Wilday, Codemasters' producer of the Colin McRae Rally series, and lead artist Rick Nath premiered the sequence to illustrate their presentation about the design and graphic development of Colin McRae Rally 3.
Colin McRae Rally 3 is an unbelievably personal gaming experience, it captures the emotions and consequences of being a professional rally driver. The pressure is on as the player takes on the role of Colin McRae as he's given a three-year contract to win a series of championships for the Ford team. Between the adrenaline-rushing rally driving, the game is seamlessly blended with stage starts, stage checkpoint, end stage and service area sequences.
