Given that Dragon Ball Z originated in Japan, it should come as no surprise that it has had a presence in the video games market for many generations of consoles. With the latest release, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, the famed anime series makes its debut on the Xbox 360. The Z-Chronicles mode consists of the Saiyan, Frieza and Cell sagas. This is the main story mode, where 21 characters can be unlocked to use in other modes such as online versus. There doesn't seem to be much of a main storyline to explain here, before each fight there will be an exchange of insults in some strange sounding English voice-overs and some boasting of power levels.
Burst Limit is a fan's game, at least as far as the story presentation goes. By this I mean that there's virtually no exposition of any sort to set up the events of what's happening, and unless you know what the bigger story in any of the covered sagas happens to be, then the "story" that you're presented with looks to be little more than a series of fights strung back-to-back.
It's rather disappointing in this respect in that a game like this could do well to draw new fans to the franchise, even outside of gaming, but what's happening is too confusing to non-DBZ fans that you can't actually get attached to any of the characters, or even know who they are or what they're about.

Unlockable: Bardock
To unlock Bardock as a playable character, beat the first chapter of his storyline.
Unlockable: Difficulty Settings
There are three unlockable difficulty settings in the game. To unlock the Hard and Very Hard settings, you must beat the Z Chronicles on Normal difficulty. To unlock the hardest difficulty called Z, beat the Z Chronicles on Very Hard.

After you win a fight in Z Chronicles its going to say things you did and you didn't do so do the things you didn't do. NOTE: a Ultimate Move is when you press LB then after that you press LT.When that happens you will be in a combat in the air and if you win the combat in air and your opponent dies you have just done a Ultimate Move.
