Game Overview

The biohazard threat has not ended: Just when it seemed that the menace of Resident Evil had been destroyed, along comes a new terror to send shivers down player’s spines. Chris Redfield, returning Resident Evil hero, has followed the path of the evil literally around the globe. After joining a new organization, Chris heads to Africa where the latest bio-terrorism threat is literally transforming the people and animals of the city into mindless, maddened creatures. He is joined by a new partner, Sheva Alomar, who lends her strength, intelligence and sharp-shooting skills to the mission. In order to survive, Chris and Sheva must work together to take on the challenges of discovering the truth behind this evil plot. Utilising a revolutionary new co-op mode of gameplay, players will be able to assume control of either Chris or Sheva and experience Resident Evil in new ways. In Resident Evil 5, Capcom will have players fearing the daylight as much as they have feared shadow in previous games.

Co-producers and series veterans Jun Takeuchi (Lost Planet) and Masachicka Kawata (Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles) unleash an unprecedented level of fear for the next generation in Resident Evil 5, the sequel to one of the highest-rated videogames in history, according to Metacritic.com and Gamerankings.com. Promising to revolutionise the series by delivering an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control, Resident Evil 5 is certain to bring new fans to the series. New technology developed specifically for the game, as well as incredible changes to both the gameplay and world of Resident Evil will make this a must-have game for gamers across the globe.

Nice! I've been using this guide. Thanks! Just a quick note though, I noticed you can also find the Rocket Launcher in 3-3. It's on a wrecked ship in the middle of the lake.
montaylor
yeah cheers for this mate
MrBlack

**UPDATE**

Just to let you guys know you have to have all 23 weapons plus all the grenades and proximity mines to recieve the "Stockpile" achievement. biggrin.gif

**UPDATE**

You DO need to have the game get a checkpoint to save your BSAA emblem, i got one, then quit out and they game didnt register my finding of it.

EDIT: This time i did get a chechpoint, then i quit, and saved, yet its still not giving it to me?
Rob Cram
You do not need to hit checkpoints - because when you quit out the game auto saves. Perhaps you're not saving when you quit? Remember to read what it says because the option is to quit without saving if you press B button.
xS1LENTSC0PEx
yes i am saving, i am making sure of that, its still not giving them to me
gtp2nv
For the "Stockpile" achievement you must also have the Gattling Gun, Longbow, Stun Rod, Grenade Launcher and a Rocket Launcher.

Also rememer that there are several weapons you can only get by upgrading other weapons, like to get the Gattling Gun you must upgrade the VZ61 (MG) and to get the longbow you must upgrade the SR75 (Rifle), etc.

If you need any help with this achievement or other achievements feel free to msg me on Live!.... My gamer tag is: txgtp2nv

I have all of the achievements accept the 3 that are for Normal, Veteran and War Hero difficulty and Take it to the Max - Figurines one ........ so I can tell you how to get any of them! biggrin.gif

Happy Gaming,

Nick

In refrence to this.... you must complete the level to be awarded for finding the BSAA emblems..... You cannot just go through the level again and find the ones you missed and then exit out, atleast to my knowledge this is the way it works.... I could be mistaking.

Happy Gaming,

All images for the BSAA Emblems added. Enjirube didn't come through with the rest of them so I took matters into my own hands.
Rikoshay
Good work on the pictures Rob, I wondered why you were still playing Resi after you've already got the 1000gs tongue.gif
Rob Cram
Hey man I've been playing for fun. My most challenging is doing a dry run on Pro mode -

That's no upgraded weapons
No Infinite Ammo
only use weapons found in the game and not those collected already.

Damn it's tough - It took well over an hour to beat the first level. The game becomes way too easy when you use Infinite RL or Mags and play on Pro.

I recommend anyone to try it.
Rikoshay
I was thinking of doing that on Veteran, but now you've mentioned doing it on Pro, I'm considering that instead tongue.gif

AWESOME! I will tell you that really helps A LOT! Its a lot easier to view the images, than to watch a youtube video on where they are all at!

GREAT JOB Rob!!

This is one of the best walkthroughs that I have ever seen. A lot of time went in to it and I hope that everyone that uses it enjoyed it as much as I did!!!!
SayDizzy
Great guide! Thanks!
Kioku
For the "Egg In Face" achievement, its easier if you try it on chapters 1-1 through 2-2 as the enemies are really weak and turn out out to be one hit kills with the rotten egg on Normal. Aiming is hard and makes the Long Bow to be a walk in the park. lol Also, in merc and Vs. I hard that you get alot of points if you kill an enemy/player with a rotten egg.
DevilDriver
I just can't find the golden egg. I've tried where it says in this guide and just can't find it. Is there any other place in the game?
Rob Cram
The chicken Island is the best place, you need to keep getting off the boat looking for the eggs, then hop back onto the boat and off again to reset the chickens. They do drop a gold egg eventually.
floydbarrow
If you cant find a Golden egg On chicken Island Go to the roof above The house with the ithaca shotgun on the where you have to rescue a blonde girl with the black dress i got my golden egg from there
DevilDriver
Got it eventually. Thanks alot man! biggrin.gif

Guess who, jerks?

Anyway. Sick guide, guys! S rank for sure.

Most games have a decent guide on achieve360points.com (sorry to plug another site, but that's where I saw Robs post) but this is really the only guide out there worth using for RE 5. I was considering writing a guide myself until I found this one.

If its not to bold of me to add some things?

For the golden egg that people have been having some trouble with; try chasing the chickens around (Eh, Chicken Chaser) for a bit before getting back on the boat. If you scare them, they lay more eggs, and it seems like there's a good chance that's when they lay golden ones.

And for the who do you trust achievement. As easy as it it... Its worth noting that it can only be done in single player, and that it takes 10 times. Don't waste half an hour trading eggs back and forth like me and my friend did trying to get this in co-op. It wont work. icon_saywhat.gif (oh how I've missed the MSXBW emotes)

Well hay, its good to be back. I'll probably be around more often. Granted, being around at all would be more often than I have been. closedeyes.gif I haven't been forum-ing anywhere in a long time but I feel like getting back in the habit.

Maybe I could write some guides, or reviews for all my old buddies here at MSX. That's something I've wanted to do for a while, and I take pride in helping other people with games. But speaking of reviews... Man, I read that old Warriors Orochi review I did... That thing sucks! Why didn't anyone tell me? And who allowed it to be posted here? Rob? Shame. Don't worry though, I'm a much better writer now. I've been to college, you see. tongue.gif

Two last words. Gamer. Score. biggrin.gif Was I really last here as Teh Azoth? That was FOREVER ago. What, like 20k or something?
Rob Cram
Hey hello dude, long time no see... we missed you. I hope stick around.
Sin Ribbon
Awesome guide. Thank you.

I've only run into one snag, so I wanted to double-check. When I was fighting Wesker before the Jill battle, I did the max combo chain but didn't get the achievement. I went through the kick, somersault, etc. and ended the combo yet no achievement. Is it not valid on Wesker or something?
Rob Cram
I would say not, best done versus zombies in the tight corridor as suggested.
The Elf
Just a quick tip on Who Do You Trust, I completed the game through twice without getting this - and I found that it only seems to unlock if you say 'thanks' to Sheva after she does something for you, I think you do this by pressing B, and it only takes a few items then

I have nearly got 1000 for this, got 2 more levels on Professional and the max weapons one too
