Cheaper components in Xbox 360, Price drop still possible Options

Microsoft is now using different and cheaper components inside the Xbox 360. This means that the central and graphical processors are now manufactured in a 65 nanometer process. These revised components will hopefully resolve some reliability issues which have been troubling a few Xbox 360's, most notably the 'Ring of death'. With the recent announcement of a $100 price drop on the Playstation 3, many are expecting Microsoft to follow suit, however now that Microsoft are saving money in the manufacturing process they may wait a while to drop the price of the Xbox 360. If they do announce a price drop, it will most likely be announced at E3 07.
