Gears of War sells 3 million copies Options

The highly acclaimed Gears of War has sold over 3 million copies it has been revealed, even though the game has only been on the market 10 weeks. The announcement was made by Microsoft and Epic who published and developed the game respecitvely, they also stated that there has been over 750,000 downloads over Live for the Gears map pack that was released not so long ago. It seems that Gears is well on its way to becomming a blockbuster franchise, perhaps the Master Chief should watch his back?
