According to Bungie.net there will be a new behind the scenes look video of Halo 3 on the Xbox Live Marketplace next week. For fans of the Halo series this one should be even more so interesting especially if you're looking forward to the campaign mode.

Videos like these help to generate hype but for some it makes the wait for the full game that much more bearable when we get treated to videos like this. If you can not wait to get your hands on some Halo 3 action then you should enter our Halo 3 Multiplayer BETA competition (if you havn't already), for more details click here.

The following was posted by Frankie of Bungie.net:
"The documentary mentioned on the interwebs, does indeed exist, as I have mentioned before in previous updates. We're keeping the exact contents as a kind of holiday surprise for the faithful, and you'll be able to see the entire thing in 720p and surround sound some time next week. It's a very interesting piece. especially if you're interested in Campaign mode."

INGAME footage of halo before its released? Why are they doing this? Thats not how you hype a respected game.

If I remember correctly, Halo 2 was highly anticipated and there was hardly any ingame coverage on it, people flourished to buy it to see what it was like, games like GTA and metal gear solid are the same, perhaps a few teaser trailers and an interview if your lucky but other than that not very much.

I wouldn't mind teasers, but showing some ingame footage makes my hype erode.

Exactly, we've had 2 teaser trailers already thats enough. By now people are either interested in the game or they arent.

I don't think we'll be seeing any gameplay in the new vid - though I hope we do. I expect it just to be another couple of mins documentary video with a behind the scenes look and some slides or possibly short clips of some single player cinematics. We shall see though, I personally don't think we'll see any gameplay footage until the beta is released.

Plenty of footage of Crackdown is available :-)

I say more the merrier but i do find it a little odd that Microsoft and Bungie are releasing so much info, trailers and a beta i must admit, maybe it has something to do with combatting the launch of a rival console or something surely.

Footage of crackdown was needed to show off how awesome it looks because if you just told people it was a cewl shaded game they would just lose interest. Anyway, they said they dont like to give away too much information because it will 'ruin the surprises' in the game.

All this content probably is to keep people away from the ps3 no doubt.

I've just recorded the Halo 3 trailer and will be adding it too the main site in a bit once it's finished uploading.
