Rare alludes to new FPS for Natal Options

In an article by MCV, Mark Betteridge of Rare made reference to a possible future project aimed at Natal. Maybe as soon as 2010.

When asked how the developments of MotionPlus and Natal would impact the first-person shooter Betteridge said this: "Right now our sights are trained on Natal, which is a great opportunity to break new ground with content and gameplay, It's also an opportunity to exercise some genre evolution, so hopefully we'll be able to develop something on that front."

The FPS genre does undeniably appear like a valid fit for the likes of Natal. Possibly such a game could have an impact similar to that of Rare's GoldenEye on the N64. Of course, without fine tuning one could also easily foresee early Natal FPS titles going terribly awry. If Rare has its way we will see which it is soon enough.
