Goldberg, community manager at Volition who discusses the soon to be released Red Faction: Guerrilla with the girls. Well, you girls know how to talk that's for sure, (but hey nothing new there). An interesting and well put together show although I'm really not digging the obviously deliberate cheesy music hehe.

Haha the music is always contextual. Opening song is a remix of a song from Final Fantasy X (one of Leah's favorite games) and the closing music is a remix from Street Fighter 2 (one of my favorite). Break music 1 was from Disgaea which leah is playing and break music 2 is from the Bound together remix album for Earthbound which I talk about in the last segment of the show.
We always do that with break music. We grab something from a game we talked about or really liked over the week

really enjoyed the podcast and loved the two ladies chatting away and the great Red Faction interview and nice to hear you have partnered up with this site too.
I did notice you have an issue or two with the layout of the site and some images or something not loading:

I don't have that problem at all, what browser are you using? Firefox works fine with the setup.

It's definitely brightening my day.Ginger Ninja, I didn't realize there were site issues in IE. We are working towards moving towards a different theme for the site. I'll make sure to test the new one in IE to make sure you don't have any other issues. |

I'm not a fan of these as every tom [Removed] site seems to have a podcast, but this was pretty good. It's like listening to women nattering at the hairdressers but much more entertaining.

As for the podcast itself, Elaine and I actually used to work together on a different podcast. I can vouch for her implicitly, in terms of gaming she's the real deal as is Leah. On some sites you get podcasts hosted by chicks where you just "know" that the girls in those casts don't know what the heck they are talking about. Not so with Leah and Elaine. Hell I found myself nodding in agreement with them at different points in the cast which to me tells me they are on the level. Really what's important in a podcast (to me) is that the hosts are at the same "level" as the audience listening to the cast. I always liked Elaine as she's never been one to be "above" the little people ... I know they both actively listen to feedback from their listeners, and will take an active part of forum life. Glas you guys enjoyed the cast! We're kinda feeling things out right now to see if this will be a good fit for the site, the feedback you all provide is invaluable. |

Ok I moved us to a lower rent theme and incorporated our new logo. Any of you folks who were having trouble in IE could you run a test for me? (make sure to clear your cache) Let me know if you see any new issues.
I really appreciate the feedback from you folks. It helps make us better or at least know we are moving in the right direction as podcasters

We are gonna rock 2 shows this week due to the E3 madness. Show 1, recording Tuesday, is gonna recap the three major press events for E3 (MS, Sony, Nintendo) and probably EA and Ubi too. It'll be mostly us talking about that stuff so not our usual format.
Show 2,recording Thursday, will be our usual show and it'll have the standard what we are playing, a news segment dedicated to everything else E3 that we didn't cover tuesday and listener mail! If you have questions for us feel free to drop an email to podcast@someothercastle.com. We love love love listener mail. Show 1 will be up Tuesday night or Wednesday morning depending on what time we get done chatting. Show 2, will be hitting on our usual Friday morning. |

So unfortunately it looks like we are only going ot get one show in this week. Leah has had some work complications that are going to keep us from recording 2. It's possible though folks that I'll release as two separate downloads, one for press conference stuff and one for everything else, because it might get super long.

Your last podcast was 1 hour 50 minutes long which by the looks of things is much longer than normal. Are you planning on keeping the next one short and sweet or another marathon cast?
The only reason I mention this is that not everyone has time to sit through almost two hours of chatting, no matter how entertaining it is. --------------------
