Game Overview

Utilizing the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored experience of the climatic battles that gripped a generation. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players employ new features like cooperative gameplay, and weapons such as the flamethrower in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date. Call of Duty: World at War introduces co-operative play, bringing fresh meaning to the "No One Fights Alone" mantra with up to four-players online for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, or two-player local split-screen on consoles. Nintendo Wii will also support a unique co-op mode for two players. For the first time ever players can experience harrowing single-player missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. The co-op campaign allows players to rank up and unlock perks in competitive multiplayer by completing challenges and earning experience points, adding continuous re-playability and team-based gameplay. Whether playing competitively or cooperatively - if players are online with Call of Duty: World at War they always gain experience points. Based on a player's experience rank and rank of the player's friends, Call of Duty: World at War scales dynamically to provide a deeper level of challenge.

Don't thank me this time, as all I did was put together the great work from the guys who created the videos and the stats/collectible lists.

However, I will say that nothing will prepare you for beating the game on Vet difficulty... I'll have nightmares for the rest of my life I think - glad I never have to endure it again.

Im currently trying to complete this game on veteran and im stuck on Burn Em' Out. Im pretty sure im near the end of the mission as im up to the last (of 3) trenches to burn out. It frustrates as I run in and hide behind some boxes where i am constantly throwing back grenades, once i kill a few of them off I move forward to the next box where banzai people run out. Its these I cant get rid of.

Any tips on this? I found it particualry easy up to this point where im getting to the point of destroying the disc along with my xbox!

I know where you talking about! I got the same thing.. Damn I hate that part. I was hiding behind the boxes like you. but that doesn't worked for me. what I did was the next:

you got a tunnel before the big hole.. was there throwing all my granades that I got ( not smoke ) and waited 2 seconds of something... then I ran like a crazy banzai person... I got my flamethrower ready and burn as much as I see!!.. and well I did really worked by me!:D.. but burn 'm out isn't even hard if you played blowtorch & corkscrew ( or something ) on vet.. man that mission sucks b*lls..

I found this game pretty easy on Veteran, ive got it on ps3 and i completed all the trophys aside from the 'Down 45 Zeroes' one in 4 days, Burn Em Out is a particulary hard mission, a tactic i used was throw a smoke on the floor in front of where you intend to run, then just sit behind somehting and flmaethrower people it took me about 4 trys but i got it in the end, the last level is the hardest yet most fun, Good Luck

Ray Gun in "Little Resistance" mission

After the boat crashes, call in an air strike on the specified location. Run up to the beach, and move to the right. You will find a small puddle at the right side of the beach. Stand in it briefly, then move towards the middle of the beach to find a smaller puddle. Stand in that puddle briefly. Move towards the far left side of the beach. Stand briefly in the puddle in the barb wire.

After several seconds, the screen will shake, and you will hear strange voices. Four lion statues will rise out of the ground with alien Ray Guns in their mouths. -From: Chris Hauserman
