While connected to Xbox LIVE, play the game once a day for 7 days - to get this go to your dashboard and choose console settings. Select CLOCK and then TIME ZONE. Change the time to -12 hours then load the game, press start, then choose chapters. Exit back to dashboard and change the TIME ZONE to +14, load the game and press start, select chapters press A, exit back to dash. Keep doing this to gain 7 days. Basically you are using the world time zones to change the date on your clock. It should take about 1 minute to get one day.

Committed 50
While connected to Xbox LIVE, play the game once a week for three months

Obsessive 100
While connected to Xbox LIVE, play the game for once a day for 100 days - to get this go to your dashboard and choose console settings. I got this after 75 odd tries rather than 100.

Basically what you need to check when you're on the dash timezone setting is the date that appears when you change the setting. You want this to change to a different date. Depending on where you live in the world your time zones are going to be different. Mine has been done from the UK GMT. As long as you change the date using this method, it will work.

Remember September '44 50
While connected to Xbox LIVE, play the game on September 17th.

I'm posting my theory here for the COMMITTED achievement using the same method as getting the 7 and 100 day achievement. I believe the wording for the achievement is incorrect based on what the developer is saying.

This is from the dev on the official Gearbox forums and I quote. "The days played are not consecutive. You only have to play on 7 different days, 12 different weeks, or 100 different days, not consecutively".

Now seeing as the days I used to get the 7 and 100 days were 26th and 27th back and forth, those would be the same two days but repeated, therefore it might support my theory that from the first day of the week back to the last day of the week sat-sun or sun-mon back and forth to get the 12 different weeks he mentions.

So on Sunday Monday and Tuesday I will test this out. Sadly Live being down on the 29th might mess things up. It all depends on what is the universal first and last day of the week. In the US people suggest that by looking at the calender Sunday is the first day of the week, either way this Saturday at 10 AM it can be tested.

On sat 27th at 10 am GMT +14 hours will place me on Sunday 28th 2 am. So if my theory is correct, that will be two of the 12 weeks. If I then go back -12 Hours GMT that will place me back into the previous week on the Sat 27th. This could count as week number three in the same way the days built up this way. Therefore if I do this procedure at least 6 times it should count those as 12 different weeks, that's if Sunday is in fact the first day of the week.

I'll laugh if this actually works. I laughed when the 7 day achievement popped up as well. Sadly the last achievement to play on the 17th of September cannot be fooled due to Live changing the time when you log in.

UPDATE:

I am still not certain which days of the week the game's cut off point is. It could be Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon.

So for now, I will try this Time Zone exploit every day for 7 days and eventually I'll get it.It will only take a max of 7 days. I'll post my results.

UPDATE2:

I just tried from 27th - 28th which is Sat/Sun this is not the game's weekly cut off point. So I will try again tomorrow at 11am which will give me the days 28th - 29th Sun/Mon.

The Xbox Live service is down on the 29th for 24 hours but on the 30th when it returns I'll be able to go back in time and do that day. lol. I'll get this eventually.

excelllent glitched achievement, i just tried this and by simply changing my time to +GMT+14 Kiribati and booting the game then returning to the dash and changing the time to GMT-12 Tokelau and booting the game doing this 4 times gave me the achievement so thanks ShadowMask for the heads up. iu'll keep my eye on the thread for the 12 weeks one as well and see how you go with that.

Some notes:

Using the ISO 8061 numbering for which week numbers were in. Today the 27th falls in week 39 of this calender year. The 28th is also in week 39 of this year (explains why today's attempt did not work), however we can skip to the 29th which is week 40 of this year from tomorrow the 28th. So it may be possible to use the exploit at two moments in the week. Mondays going back in time or Sundays going forwards in time to change the week number.

So the end of September looks like this.

Week Number 39 - days of the week 22 23 24 25 26 27 28
Week Number 40 - days of the week 29 30 1 2 3 4 5

October:

40 1 2 3 4 5
41 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
42 13 14 15 16 17 18 19
43 20 21 22 23 24 25 26
44 27 28 29 30 31

In a few minutes from now, it will be 12.00am in Kiribati on the 29th of September. That's week 40 of the year. It's now 28th in Kiribati week 39 of the year. I'm now going to test my theory and post the results.

Drum roll....

UPDATE: No it has not worked today. which throws some doubt into the theory, however as I already stated that doing this for the whole 7 day period is what is required to get the change over day, from one week to the next. So obviously today isn't that day. Gearbox may not have used the standard calender days. So I will keep on trying.

What I do know is that there is no set day of the week that a week ends on. A week is determined by mathematically figuring out what week of the year it should be, given the current day.

This is a clue - and perhaps using the calender weeks was my error. So I'm going to stick with the principle that if gamers do this exploit once per day for an entire 7 days they will get it on one of those days.

Another idea is that your 1st week could start when you first start playing. So in my case, the 25th was my first day I played, 7 days from then will be the 2nd of October.

Tomorrow will be hard seeing as Live is down, But I think we can try going back in time rather than forwards.

Try an hour and a half, but look you do not have to do it all at once. Say you did it 15 mins per day. By the end of the week you'd have it.

WOOOOOOOTTTTT!!

I just now got the COMMITTED ACHIEVEMENT.

So my theory is correct. You can cheat the weeks. I went back to the 29th and then forwards to the 30th I did this 12 times and got the achievement. However, Live being reset may have had a part to play in this.

So for today - you need to go back to the 29th and then forwards to the 30th. This would make Mon/Tues the cut off days if it's set day of the week - which I was told it was not. - However I've just used a 2nd gamertag and also got the achievement. So it could be that mon/tue each week is the cut off point.

As you can read in this topic, I have been doing this daily. I believe that if Live being reset today has a part to play and you miss the opportunity today to do this, you can still cheat the weeks by doing the exploit once per day for a 7 day period, to catch your week changeover.

Not working anymore, i guess it's because we cant select the 29th as its now passed everywhere. 1st going back to 30th does not work either.

Ill keep trying everyday though, thanks for posting the method. happy.gif

just another confirmation on getting the obsessive achievement by constantly changing the time zone to be -12 hours and the +14 hours and booting the game up etc.

It just worked for me for Committed. Monday morning at 6 a.m. on 10/6. The +14 puts me on Tuesday and the -12 puts me back to Sunday.

I tried it last night when the +14 was Monday night and the -12 was Sunday. I got the Focused achievement, did it about 10 more times, and still didn't get Committed. But this morning, on the 9th switch, I got Committed.
