 Game: GTA IV Date/Time: Sat August 16th – from 7p.m. (BST) Hot off the heels of our recent Halo 3 Event, we are hosting another MSXBOX-WORLD Community Gaming Night, and for the second time we'll be revisiting Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV. For those of you that are ready to tear it up online, post your interest below and we'll see you in Liberty City come August 16th where prizes will once again be available. For greater convenience you can simply click HERE to add MSXBOX WORLD to your Xbox LIVE Friends List (be signed into Xbox.com with your gamertag). Please note that you may receive a game invite from any of the staff here, and this may not be from the MSXBOX WORLD gamertag. The new gamertag's purpose is for storing Gamer Night participants tags on their, so we can easily access the list and send a game invite when due. Any news and/or update messages regarding these events will be sent from this gamertag to all gamers that have posted their interest in taking part. Rules: - UK only players. - Players must state in this thread if they would like to take part. - Make sure MSXBOX WORLD is on your Friend's List (we will only accept Friend Requests from gamers that have posted in this thread. If you post in this thread, we will ultimately send you a Friend Request before the scheduled event takes place, only if you have not already sent one to MSXBOX WORLD.) - Please show up on time. - As prizes are involved, we will not tolerate gamers playing with guests or inviting friends that have not first stated their interest in this thread prior to the events start time. If we deem that players are cheating in anyway, we reserve the right to disqualify said players. - That's it, have fun, enjoy the game and you might just bag yourself an Xbox 360 prize!  -------------------- |

Though we've had a couple of instances with random players joining, so it is to cover that as well.Let's please try and keep this thread on topic, mainly for people stating their interest in taking part or even match suggestions. Yeah im up for it, the previous GTA gamernight we had was the best laugh ive had for a while, especially with Rickoshay and his invincible Ice Cream Van

well for you forum regulars we might be able to make an exception as long as you're prepared to perhaps accept a lesser prize if you are victorious.
Shipping stuff to the US from the UK is problematic. See what Wayne has to say on the matter. --------------------

If you guys want to play, then you can do. I just think it seems unfair that should a US player get 1st place or similar, that you may have to make do with a redeem code for a downloaded arcade title or MS points, while if a UK player reaches 2nd place or similar, well they would likely end up with a 360 game, which seems some what unfair. If you're still happy to take part under those circumstances, then it's fine by me.

O I am in it for the fun. I had a great time playing Halo 3 with you all (yall). It IS nice to win prizes but I play games for the fun and online has given us the ability to play with people ACROSS THE ATLANTIC. OmG!@#$%^&*(

Same. Also there is probably no chance I will win. I am not the best online player for GTA. Soo does this mean I can participate???? I wont except the prize if I win, but that is probably not gonna happen.

It's all really about just having a laugh online, GTA's probably the best thing for this with racing in ice cream trucks (we're not helicopter racing again, no way!). As prizes are involved there will be stats and stuff being tracked to award prizes, but feel free to join in, and just shoot/rundown the crap out of everyone, if you get lucky, then hey, that's cool. The only thing I hate about GTA is the lobby, I've still not worked the thing out yet and was only playing online the other day. Though I know Rob had a great time and easily got used to the lobby last time, so I'll be expecting him to be the lobby guy again.
