What's this? A gaming night? Yes, get a post in!! We're getting back into the Halo mood here at msxbox-world thanks to the recent Bungie Day and them giving all of us another reason to jump online and shoot at each other by them releasing the new free map, Cold Storage. What more could you want than to tea-bag the msxbox staff? Well, we just so happen to have some Xbox 360 games to giveaway too, we've not worked out yet how we're going to be giving these away. As always we'll come up with something to make sure that everyone taking part has a good time and stands a chance at bagging a prize.

We'll be using our MSXBOX WORLD gamertag yet again, so make sure that you add this to your friend's list as well as posting here. The purpose for the gamertag is so none of us have to sort through a load of friends (potentially removing people) to invite participants, so it makes it much easier just to have everyone taking part to be a friend on the MSXBOX WORLD gamertag.



You can simply click here to add MSXBOX WORLD to your Xbox LIVE Friends List (be signed into Xbox.com with your gamertag). Please note that you may receive a game invite from any of the staff here, and this may not be from the MSXBOX WORLD gamertag. The new gamertag's purpose is for storing Gamer Night participants tags, so we can easily access the list and send a game invite when due. Any news and/or update messages regarding the event will be sent from this gamertag to all gamers that have posted their interest in taking part.

Note: Please make sure you have downloaded all the available FREE multiplayer map packs for Halo 3 before the event is due to take place, this includes the new Cold Storage map as well as the Heroic Map Pack.

Update: I'll be on a little earlier this time, and sending out invites from 6.50pm (GMT) to attempt to get everyone in for 7p.m. The first match we play from 7p.m. will be when the first match officially kicks off and it is from this match that we will be tallying up the stats for the prizes. One other thing worth noting is that the event, prize wise anyway, will end at 9.30p.m. So only the matches from between 7p.m. and 9.30p.m. will we be competing for prizes. I may very well stay on for a while longer and continue to play or jump into matchmaking with anyone that is still sticking around, just for the hell of it.

I think this makes things fair for everyone as we at least know when it starts and ends officially.

And I think the reason a R6V2 night hasn't been done is because it's sh!t

And the fact that we need to think about people who have the game as well as a variety of gameplay choices, Halo as overplayed as it is never falls short of those two points.

I'll be turning up this time as well, last two gamer nights I couldn't make due to university and exams etc, should be a fun filled creative night. I'll be keeping a tally like we did in CoD 4, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and chosen winners. I'll confirm the winning details later on.

I dont find Halo crap at all, recently ive really got into it, i especially love playing custom maps with mates.

RSV2 is awful though

also, could we not do it random, like last time. Becuase then at least everyone has a chance of winning, (I don't because i'm awful) but i still think random winners are more fair.

Vick you can play dude but I think if you were to win, your prize would have to be something that does not require posting. The same applies to any other non UK residents.

Gaming nights normally go on for quite a while and there's never a real set time to finish, we just all decide to stop when we've had enough.

You don't have to stay the duration, you could just leave at 10:30pm(GMT).. But if we continue for a long time after that your chances of winning a prize will be slim.

Just join up anyway dude, they're always a great laugh..

Hopefully we can keep this one going a while without everyone bailing and leaving me with Waynimus and LCDking

Yea, by the time we may play Bad Company hopefully it would have been patched. Playing that now we're restricted to four players...

I keep trying to like that game, I'm just not getting it though. From the Beta to the Demo, I'm still somewhat underwhelmed, though the campaign story on the demo seemed OK, certainly wouldn't mind playing through the full game just for that, as far as online goes, nah BF: BC is not the game for me. I'll be very much sticking with Gears, COD4, UT3 and Halo 3 (yes, in that order) until November.
