Activites in Stilwater.

• Racing: Drive through checkpoints in time trial on your own or versus other racers to earn either a Gold/Silver/Bronze reward. You'll either race point to point or laps. Once you instigate the activity, the vehicle is automatically chosen for you and you'll start at the starting point. You need to drive through the orb checkpoints. If you miss, you'll have to go back. If you want to restart simply press down on the d:pad twice to exit and return to the activity location.

• Mayhem: In the Mayhem Activity you must wreak havoc in a specific area.

At the start of the Activity, a message appears on screen telling you which area to go to. If you go to the Pause Menu the target area will also be pulsing on the map. The mini map shows you a path to this location. The HUD displays the amount of Money you've earned, the amount of Money you need in order to complete the Activity, and a Timer.

Once you have entered the appropriate area, the Timer begins to count down. As you destroy objects in the world such as fences, mail boxes, blowing up cars etc, you earn Money based on the damage you inflict (if you destroy several things in a row you receive a combo bonus which depletes if you stop destroying stuff and increases as you destroy more objects). If the Timer runs out before you earn enough Money the Activity is failed.

Each instance of Mayhem has six levels of difficulty, if you complete three you will be given an extra reward and another for completing six. There are different rewards at each location.

• Drug Trafficking: Provide protection for drug deals around Stilwater.

At the start of the Activity you are riding shotgun (you are in Turret Mode) in the vehicle being driven by a Drug Dealer. The Drug Dealer's health is displayed on the HUD, as is the number of sales that need to be completed. As the Drug Dealer drives to each meeting you must protect them from attacking Gang members and Police Officers. You are given a weapon with infinite ammo to do this. You are rewarded with Cash and Respect if you keep the dealer alive and bring them back home safely. You can hop out of the vehicle during the stop off points to prevent the dealer getting killed.

• Snatch: Kidnap hos and bring them back to brothel.

The location of the Hoes is indicated in your mini map. The HUD displays a timer and the number of Hos you need to rescue. In order to rescue the Hos you must first drive to their locations (a four seater vehicle is best and it becomes far easier if you modify a cop car with reinforced tyres and frames etc) and either kill their Pimp or simply recruit the Hos and drive off (press up on the d:pad when close to them to recruit). When a Ho is recruited, her health appears on the HUD. If her health is reduced to zero you have thirty seconds to revive her by walking up to her body and pressing Y. After the thirty seconds are up, she is gone for good.

Once you have at least one Ho recruited (three are the max amount of followers you can have) you need to take her back to the drop:off point indicated in the mini map. When you drop off one or several Hos, the number of Hos you need to rescue decreases accordingly and you can go out and rescue more. If enough Hos are killed to make it impossible for you to meet your quota the activity is failed. However, if you are able to return the required number of Hos, you are rewarded with Cash and respect. There are bonus rewards at level three and level six completion at both areas.

• Heli Assault: This is one of the new activities and places you at the helm of a helicopter gun ship. At the earky stages you are tasked with merely heading to a location and providing air support to gang members on the ground. As the levels increase you'll be tasked with following your gang who are driving around in a vehicle making deliveries. Using the helicopters lock on missles or cannons simply shoot the pursuing cars and make sure the gang's vehicle isn't destroyed. A bar shows you how much damage the car has sustained. If it reaches zero you fail the mission. You might have to manually pick up the gang members if they run out of fuel by flying low enough so they can grab onto the helicopter; you'll then need to drop them off at a specified zone for completion.

• Trail Blazing: This activitiy is checkpoint racing on a quad bike, however the difference here is that you'll be able to ignite passing cars and pedestrians to gain additional time added to the clock as it counts down. If the clock reaches zero, the you fail the activity. The basic premise is to cash in the bonus time you've accumilated between each checkpoint at the next checkpoint. Along the routes you'll take there are a number of explosive barells and other points which you can ignite for larger amounts of bonus time. pedestrians/cars for bonus time.

• Fuzz: take a camera man with you and act like a vigilante cop. The camera man need some high action footage which is marked by a bar on the screen. To fill this you'll need to drive to various locations marked on the map and quell the violence using any means neccesary. Sometimes the camera man will request that you use a specific tool for the job, which increases the footage bar more than normal. There is a time limit, so speed is of the essence.

• Chop Shop: bring back select vehicles from a list to the garage. Once you get into a vehicle that is required (if you're not on a mission) you'll be prompted to return the vehicle to the garage. Your GPS will direct you to the nearest garage. You'll earn cash for dropping these off. You can find the vehicles anywhere if you know what is required, if not head to the location where they are indicated to be and drive around that area until one spawns.

• Fight Club: These are rounds in a ring versus the AI starting with two opponents and working your way up until you have a 6 opponents to beat simulataneously. You'll be able to attack using the RT or LT (hold either for a charged attack) and Block by holding the LT and RT together. You can also grab and throw using the LB but the AI tends to counter this. Once an opponent's health is reduced and they are downed a red arrow appears meaning you can then grab them by pressing Y. You'll then have to perform the on screen prompts such as tapping a button rapidly to take them out.

You can pick up various object that are thrown into the ring and use these as weapons, although beware the AI will use these as well. It's best to go for the grab to make them drop any held items. Sometimes valuable food items are thrown into the ring and can be used to replenish health as your standard bar doesnt not recharge if you sustain no damage.

There are two fight club locations: the Prison and the Arena District next to the Ultor Dome.

• Escort: drive the hooker to the client and then drive around town to avoid the press taking pictures.

IAt the start of the Activity you are assigned a specific car to use. Once the hooker enters the car, the location of your Client is indicated on the mini map. Go and pick up the client and then drive around avoiding the press. On the HUD are two meters, the Pleasure Meter and the Footage Meter. Once you pick up the Client, the Pleasure Meter begins to fill up. Once the Pleasure Meter is filled, the Client is satisfied and you can drop them off. However, there are Paparazzi who are eager to take footage of your Client's sexual escapades. Your mini map shows a Red Circle around each of the news vans the Paparazzi are using. Any time you enter that circle, the Pleasure Meter stops filling up, and the Footage Meter increases instead. Once the Footage Meter is filled, the Clients public image has been ruined and the Activity is failed. You are rewarded with Cash and Respect if you are able to evade the paparazzi long enough for the Client to be satisfied, and then drop them off. You may have to drive the clients to specific locations or cause damage to other cars.

• Insurance Fraud: rack up extreme damage to your body by throwing yourself into oncoming traffic.

At the start of the Activity, a scoring Area is indicated on the mini map. Once you are inside the Scoring Area, you want to injure yourself as much as possible by diving in front of the traffic or falling down staircases and going limp at the moment of impact. Pulling the Left Trigger or Right Trigger causes your character to go limp. While limp, any damage that would be applied to you is instead turned into money. A Timer appears on the HUD and begins to count down. This Timer indicates how much time you have left in the activity. The HUD also displays how much Money you have earned and the amount of Money you still need to earn in order to beat the Activity. There is an adrenaline meter which fills every time you earn money. If you fill it, you'll then be able to chain damage together to earn even more money. There are bonus areas marked on the map where you can increase the rate of the adrenaline meter being filled. Be aware of cars that speed towards you, as these are best for racking up the cash.If you are able to earn the Money required within the time limit you will be rewarded with cash and respect.

• Septic Avenger: The task is simple, play as a passenger in a sewerage truck and aim the spray gun at various properties to lower its value. You follow a set route and must acculilate a certain level of value loss during the run. If you fail to reach the target, then you fail the mission. You are able to press the LT to stop the vehicle as you spray sewerage waste onto properties (marked by a red bar) although the cops will be shooting at you. A good aim, steady hand and blocked nose is required here.

• Hitman: hunt down and kill specific targets from a list around Stillwater.

In the Hitman Activity you are given a list of Targets that you need to dispose of. Hitman is a persistent Activity which means once you activate it, you can always dispatch one of the characters on your list. A icon appears on the map when you are close to your target and you can have their picture displayed on screen to help you, although this is not neccesary. You can view a list of Targets on your Hit List by going to the info Tab on the Pause Menu. Note that each Target needs to be brought out in a specific way. You are rewarded with Cash and Respect for each Target you dispose of on the list.

• Crowd Control: stop fans from harrassing the celebrity by taking them out as they run towards hi. The crazed fans are marked with a red arrow and can come as one or several at a time. You can take them out by throwing them or using a weapon, but the best way to earn points here is to throw them into the areas marked with blue arrows: such as the back of a van. You gain more points if they are thrown into an object rather than thrown. You can move around with them once they have been grabbed with the LB button, and if you press the RB button as well you'll move faster. The celebrity has a harrass meter and if this gets too high then you will fail the mission, so swiftness is key to success and of course maximizing the points you can gain.

• Demolition Derby: destroy the other cars: winning grants you derby points which enables you to upgrade derby vehicles with additional attack, defense or speed. You can choose from a few vehicles each round and apply the upgrades as you wish.

Diversions

Collectables/Hidden Items :

• CD Collection: (50 to find) FInd the hidden CDs that are scattered around Stilwater - these grant you extra music tracks per 10 found and once you find them all you'll recieve a 100% discount on all purchasable music.

• Tagging: (50 to find andcomplete) Spray the Saints Tag on various surfaces to gain more respect. You'll need to shake the spray can if you use too much paint (RT), and if you spray too much beyond the borders, you'll fail and have to start over. Be careful,as your gang notoriety will build up as you are spraying, so it's probably best to do these with some homies in tow to protect you. If you do get attacked during the spraying, you'll have to start over.

• Stunt Jumps: (80 to find and complete) Find the ramps scattered around Stilwater and using a motorcycle or car speed up the ramp and fly like a bird, for a few moments at least. A message will appear if you have successfully completed the Jump.

• Barnstorming: (30 to find and complete) Fly a helicopter or planes through specific gaps, such as under bridges and places of interest. You need to make sure that you approach from the correct side and maintain a decent speed or else it won't register. You'll see the words Barnstorming appear on your screen and if you complete the run you'll see a message telling you you've completed it.

• Secret Areas: There are 32 secret areas to discover.

Jobs:

• Ambulance EMT: Rush to the scenes of accident and revive the set number of victims. You'll either have to use CPR or electro paddles. CPR requires you to move the left and right thumbsticks up and down together as a bar fills. The faster you move the sticks, the faster the bar fills. If you fill the bar near the top too quickly you'll fail. Learn to slow down just as the bar reaches its peak.

The other revival method using the electro pads requires you to move the left and right thumbsticks up and down alternating to build up the charge. Once the charge limit is reached you need to press the LT+RT together to unleash the shock and revive the victim.

You'll be against the clock here and so driving through traffic with the sirens on (Click in right thumbstick) is a huge bonus. As you move up levels you'll have to rescue more victims. Be warned, if you randomly steal an ambulance you'll get the cops after you. Simply steal a ambulance (call 911 on phone) and place it in your garage and then retrieve it once the heat has died down - this makes the whole activity much easier.

• Fire Truck: Rush to the fire scene and put out those fires. Simply call the Fire dept. 555-4867 to get a vehicle. You'll have to drive the fire truck to the destination and then once on the scene, hop out and use a fire extinguisher to put out fires inside of the buildings. There's a time limit and the danger of being burnt by pedestrians. Each fire is marked with a red arrow and is indicated on the map by a red square. Once you've put out the fire, you have a limited time to get back to the truck or else the mission fails. You also have to make sure the extinguisher does not run out although you can run back to the tuck for a refil if it does, but this costs valuable time.

• Ho-ing: time to show how good you are in the sack! Simply move the right thumbstick in the direction indicated (where it vibrates the most intensely) then using the left thumbstick move it in the directions prompted (either left, right, up, or down). A meter will fill as you successfully complete various acts. Once the meter is filled to the max...well you know what happens.

• Taxi-Driver: Drive to your customers, marked on the map as a green square - they also have an arrow above their heads so you can spot them easily. Pick them up and drop them off at the marker on you map. You'll see a blue circle as the drop off point. There's a timer so speed is of the essence, can you deliver your customers on time? Be warned of rival taxis trying to steal customers and sometimes customers will request you drive fast or slow.

• Tow Truck: Pick up and make a delivery of vehicles back to your garage. You need to reverse towards the front or rear of the vehicle you're going to pick up and then when prompted press and hold the LB+RB to attach the vehicle. Be warned the owners won't be too pleased and will attack you. Sometimes it's easier to jump out of the tow truck and drive the target vehicle towards the back of the tow truck. Be warned the steering becomes erratic if you turn sharply or drive too fast. There's a timer as well, so speed is of the essence. If the tow truck gets destroyed then it's game over. You cannot switch vehicles either.

Minigames:

• Blackjack: make some cash from this classic card game. Head to the Poisedon's Playground and go to the lower floors where the machines are to play.

• Drive-by-diversion: kill people from within the car only.To activate this you need to be a passenger in one of your gang controlled vehicles.

• Flashing: Make sure you are naked and then equip the flasher coat which can be purchased from Let's Pretend store in the mall. You need to press down on the d-pad once, then again to initiate the mini game. Then press the Right Trigger to flash. You need the pedestrians to look directly at you for it to register and you'll get either a positive or negative reaction. You need to chain together flashes against a timer that depletes. The key is finding a busy area and to keep moving because you can't reflash the same people. You can flash people in vehicles.

• Store Hold ups: Rob a store and escape the police.

If you are armed with a firearm you can Hold Up Shopkeepers. To do this, equip a gun and place your Reticule over the Shopkeeper. The Shopkeeper will soon react, either by placing their hands in the air or by attacking you. If the Shopkeeper attacks, the Hold Up is botched and you need to either defend yourself or run away. If the Shopkeeper raises their hands in the air you can continue the Hold Up.

As long as you keep the Reticule on the Shopkeeper they will comply with your demands and start to walk to the safe. Whenever you move your reticule away from the Shopkeeper they will stop moving and start lowering their hands. If their hands drop all the way they will sound the Alarm and your Police Notoriety will instantly rise (and the Hold Up is finished). If you move your Reticule back over the Shopkeeper who is lowering their hands, they will place their hands back up and continue to walk. If you keep the Reticule on the Shopkeeper , they will eventually take you to a back room and open the Stores Safe. Once you've grabbed the cash you need to get out of there quick as the alarm will go off.

• Hostage: You can start a Hostage Activity whenever you carjack a vehicle with multiple passengers. Once you initiate Hostage, the HUD displays the Ransom and amount a timer. Your Police Notoriety also begins to steadily rise. In order to earn the Ransom money you must continue to drive fast for the duration indicated by the Timer. The more passengers, the higher the Ransom, but the longer the Timer. If you slow down or come to a complete stop, the Hostages will try to escape. If they do, the Activity is failed. However, if you manage to keep the Hostages in your car for the duration, you will be rewarded with Cash and Respect.

• Mugging: Aiming your gun at someone for a few seconds whilst in fine aim (click in the Right Thumbstick) which starts the mugging. Keep the reticule over them to force the victim to drop their cash. Watch out for the cops as they'll attack if you are seen doing this.

• Poker: the classic card game of wits, can you earn some easy money? Head to Poisedon's Playground on the lower floors where the poker and blackjack machines are.

Streaking: nudity at its best. Press down on the d-pad twice to start the activity.Simply run through the streets totally naked making sure passers by can see you. There are a set number of people you need to have seen you per level. People in cars passing by also count and is a good way of getting a constant stream of new people. There is a strict time limit, which replenishes when you reach a new level. There are 8 levels max for this activity which earns respect and cash.

• Zombie Uprising: can you survive the Zombie onslaught in this video game video game. You'll face wave after wave of increasingly difficult zombies. You can attack them with hand to hand or use the limited number of melee/firearms scattered around. You need to make sure not to waste the weapons, and save them for the tougher stages. You'll also have some companions to help out, if they get knocked out, then you can revive them. Be wary of flaming zombies as these can cause massive damage, although if you're clever, you can use the fire to your advantage.
